On successfully completing the TTOC Broadcast Assistant – Audio/Communications course you will receive a television industry recognised TAFE certificate. This will qualify you for employment as an Audio/Communications Assistant working on studio and outside broadcast (OB) productions.
What will I study?
Audio/ Communication Introduction
This unit specifically addresses audio operation and installation. In lecture mode students will be introduced to audio theory, sound design and signal flow. In workshop mode students will work in teams on audio signal acquisition and production. Small group teams will gain proficiency in the installation and operation of commentary systems units.
What kind of job can I expect?
Graduates will be capable of Junior Audio Communications Assistant roles in NRL, A League Football and studio light entertainment.
What are the entry requirements?
The applicant should have two years relevant experience or have completed Broadcast Operations - Intermediate.
How often do the courses run
Courses are one month long, starting March 2010, and will run frequently until the last intake for 2010 in October.
