On successfully completing the TTOC Broadcast Assistant - Lighting course you will receive a television industry recognised TAFE certificate. This course will qualify you to be employed as a Lighting Assistant working on studio and outside broadcast productions.
What will I study?
Lighting Introduction
Lighting Assistants will receive an introduction to CCU, power, different types of lights, light quality (hard or soft), colour temperature (natural light/artificial light), interview lighting (3 point lighting), outdoor sports lighting and studio lighting.
What equipment will I use?
Redhead, Blondies and HMI lights.
What experience will I get?
Infield experience will involve working with industry professionals on lighting observation, set and operation associated with studio and OB delivery.
What kind of job can I expect?
Successful graduates will be employable in lighting assistant roles in studio and on OBs.
What are the entry requirements?
The applicant should have two years relevant experience or have completed Broadcast Operator - Intermediate.
How often do the courses run?
Courses are one month, starting from March 2010, and will run frequently until the last intake for 2010 in October.
