An introduction to the technical set-up of the Sony MVS8000/MVE9000

• Overview: Sony MVS8000/MVE9000 Engineering Technical Set-Up

  • Produce a key default.
  • Provide a Chroma-key with Auto and Colour Cancel.
  • Set up the switcher with the required panels, processors, DME’s format, on-air recovery mode, inputs, outputs, cross-points, hole cuts, devices and assign functions per operator request.
  • Factory reset the switcher.
  • Identify the options installed.
  • Indentify the model of switcher and DME and know the differences.
  • Store and recall files via the panel and System Manager.
  • Identify and cure communication issues.
  • Operate and understand System Manager fully.
  • Set ID on processors, panels and MVE’s.
  • Identify sections to be ‘hot swapped’ in emergencies.
