- Develop knowledge of the basic construction and identify the components that make up a fibre cable
- Develop knowledge of fibre cable handling best practice
- Develop knowledge of how physical effects on fibre cable can impede light transmission

- Demonstrate the cleaning and inspection processes including SMPTE hybrid fibre cable

- Develop knowledge of the transmission distances of fibre types
