• Overview: Sony HDC 1500 Operational (half day)
  

  • Identify all components that are associated with a Sony HDC1500 camera chain

  • Develop knowledge of system overview

  • Identify and understand all operational controls associated with the camera head and accessories

  • Identify the various operational modes and how the various camera chain components are put together

  • Identify the features and benefits of the new technology being incorporated in the system

  • Develop knowledge o viewfinder operational set up

  • Develop knowledge of signal I/O of the camera head

  • Develop knowledge of the use of safety interlocks for the correct operation of the camera

  • Demonstrate the correct fibre optic camera cable handling requirements and safe operating procedure

• Overview: Introduction to CCU Basics (half day)
  

  • Identify the various camera configurations, including rigging

  • Identify and understand the functions the different components that make up a camera and monitoring chain

  • Understand the role of the CCU operator and Technical Director

  • Identify and understand the key controls of an RCP and their relationship to picture manipulation

  • Understand the relationship between iris and depth of field

  • Understand the terms: primary colours, gamma, colour temperature

  • Understand the reason for white and black balance, flare connection and clip level

  • Identify the types of waveform monitoring

  • Understand the difference between ND and colour correction filters

  • Understand the operational requirements, set up and CCU of multi-cameras
