If you are regularly employed within the Television industry and have 2 years experience as a Lighting Assistant or in other Tech/Vision roles, the TTOC Camera Control Unit – Intermediate course will raise your qualifications to that of Lighting Technician.
Your expert trainer will be a highly reputable industry Lighting Director. The training you will receive will be on the latest technology employed by the Television broadcast industry.
The specific training is set and endorsed by the Television Industry Advisory Group (refer to Endorsements).
This course has been designed to equip the Lighting Technician with a greater understand of Studio and Outside Broadcast lighting issues as well as the technical side of power and specialty lighting such as moving lights and LED screen systems.
What will I get out of this?
On successfully completing the Lighting – Intermediate course you will receive a Television Industry recognised TAFE certificate.
The graduates of the Lighting Intermediate course should be qualified to take a Senior Lighting position subject to experience and the project involved.
Entry Requirements
Two years experience in lighting at assistant or trainee level plus you must have completed the Lighting introduction module or equivalent.
How often do the courses run?
Courses are one month long, starting April 2010, and will run frequently until the last intake for 2010 in October. Alternatively, the course will be run over 5 months, 1 day per week, starting April 2010.

The cost of this specialised course is $1950.
